Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor or Manager with a passion for overseeing high-performing teams in a technical environment? A leading company in the material handling industry is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to manage their workshop operations. The Role

As the Workshop Manager / Supervisor, you will :

  • Oversee the daily operations of a busy workshop, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.
  • Manage a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate scheduling, resources, and parts to meet deadlines and minimise downtime.
  • Monitor and improve workshop performance metrics, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with :

  • Proven experience in a workshop management or supervisory role, ideally within the material handling, automotive, or similar industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of material handling equipment or mechanical systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on motivating and developing staff.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance.
  • A customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
