Location : University Academy 92 (UA92), Manchester

Salary : £37,000 to £4 2 ,000 depending on experience

Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

As a Lecturer in Digital, you will play a vital role in delivering our cutting-edge curriculum, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a fast-evolving digital world. You will inspire and support students on their journey through the dynamic and ever-changing digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Learning

Deliver engaging, student-focused teaching in Computer Science and Cyber Security.

  • Curriculum Development

    • Create and implement innovative curriculum content that reflects current digital trends and technologies.

  • Student Engagement

    • Mentor and guide students, fostering creativity, curiosity, and digital excellence.

  • Industry Collaboration

    • Build partnerships with industry leaders to ensure our programmes remain relevant and forward-thinking.

    What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications

    • A master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience

    • Proven teaching experience in higher education, with expertise in digital technologies and methodologies.

  • Skills

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.

  • Innovation

    • A passion for incorporating new technologies and creative teaching methods into the curriculum.

  • Industry Insight

    • Strong connections with the digital sector and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest trends.

    You should have expertise in at least two of the following areas :

  • Programming and Software Development

    • Languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#.

  • Web Development and Digital Marketing

    • Proficiency in front-end tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular) and familiarity with back-end technologies (Node.js, Django, or PHP).

    Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, Google Analytics, and CMS platforms like WordPress.

  • Networking and Cybersecurity

    • Understanding of concepts such as TCP / IP, DNS, routing, and switching.

  • Database Systems

    • Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

  • Cloud Computing

    • Experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
