We arehere to help you and your loved ones, with everything from pain and symptommanagement to emotional and practical help.

Main duties of the job

About the Role Sue Ryder St Johns Hospice is here for people aged 18 and over living withconditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease.

As one of our Nursing Assistants you will : Communicate effectively and appropriately with individuals and their families Carry out any essential duties within your scope as agreed in the care plan Work to ensure the standard of infection prevention and control are followedat all times

  • We want to hear from dedicated Nursing Assistants with sound clinical skills who are keen to make a real difference. We pride ourselves on a team that has been chosen because theyre highly professional, passionate and dedicated to providing incredible end of life care.
  • To join us as a Nursing Assistant, youll need :
  • An NVQ and / or QCF Level 2 qualification (or the willingness to gain this)
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, the internet and email
  • Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach
