Job description

RSK Group  are looking for an  Junior IT Hardware Technician  to join the Group IT Department on a full time basis working 40 hours pw. The team offer a great opportunity for development and career progression

This role is for a highly organised, keen, and efficient Junior IT Hardware Technician to join our IT team. As a member of the hardware team, your primary responsibility will be assisting in setting up the RSK Group hardware and ensuring smooth operations.

The successful candidate will be working on site in our  Helsby Office 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with incoming hardware orders to ensure they are set up and sent out in time.
  • Installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.
  • Assist with managing and maintaining the asset database for all group hardware.
  • Work with the IT Procurement Team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work with the Software Team and assist with licensing and installations.
  • Assist with hardware projects (upgrades / replacements / office moves).
  • Assist with the MDM management for laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
  • Stay updated on hardware trends and seek training for skill growth.
  • Assisting with incoming hardware related Service Desk requests.
  • Assisting with any other IT duties as and when required.
  • Ensure compliance and security of IT infrastructure.

Person Specification :

  • Minimum 1 years of professional IT experience.
  • Familiarity with Service Desk ticketing systems.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Android operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience with remote support tools like TeamViewer.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP / IP and LAN / WAN)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Prior experience in an IT related environment - Desirable
