Job Description

The role will provide expertise to all our Software based systems across multiple plant operations and sites in the UK&I. These will include PLCs (Rockwell – ( AB ) structure, Factory Managements system – ( SCADA ), Local Networks, and software network devices such as our tracking and digital scanning infrastructure.

The Systems Engineer will provide site support across the 26 operations in UK&I and help deliver improvements in Safety, Quality and Cost.

Key Accountabilities are :

  • Ensure the highest level of safety is maintained at each service centre by providing oversight and expertise in the areas of functional machinery safety
  • Ensure sites are audit ready.
  • Ensure all electrical standards are followed and revised.
  • Ensure all best practice and improvements to standards are captured through change request process.
  • Project and plant support in Integration technologies.
  • Network security
  • Ensure critical spares are available through efficient spare parts management.
  • Part of new plant handover package
  • Ensure PLC backups are in place.
  • Develop Plant PLC / Network Documentation

Qualifications

  • PLC Programming Certification
  • Electrical Controls Certification
  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Automation or Electrical engineering
  • Experience and Skills :

  • Experience in software experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Professional Engineering Qualification HNC or Degree level
  • Software / Electronics C&Q or NVQ at level 3
  • Programmable Logic control qualification – preferred AB
  • LAN working knowledge.
  • Ideally you'll have a Machinery Safety Qualification – ( Machine Safety Expert / NEBOSH )
  • Ideally, Multiskilled Engineering qualification
  • Preferred Education

    Diploma - Electrical Engineering
