The successful candidate will manage a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring all works are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of multiple trades and strong leadership in supervising site activities while maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and repair works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and local authority regulations.
- Manage and supervise teams of tradesmen, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Liaise with clients, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and address any concerns.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity.
- Monitor project progress, and deadlines, reporting any issues to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to site activities, safety inspections, and work completion.
- Identify and resolve any operational challenges that may arise during the course of the project.Essential Requirements :
- Extensive experience in the construction and maintenance industry, with a strong background in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, roofing, etc.).
- Proven experience in managing and supervising teams of tradesmen and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations,
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, teams, and stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence.Desirable Requirements :
- Relevant construction or engineering qualification (NVQ, CSCS, HND)
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Asbestos Awareness training.
- Damp and Mould remediation experience
