Job description
Job responsibilities
Gloucestershire Healthcare providers rely on Universities to prepare future healthcare professionals. In response to existing and projected workforce shortages Universities have increased the numbers of students on healthcare programmes.
To qualify in their respective professions all healthcare students are required to gain experience in a range of practice settings.
The Education Everyones Business One Gloucestershire Student Placement Expansion Project brought together healthcare provider organisations to discuss and realise the clinical placement expansion required to support the additional students to gain the practice experience and skills they need to become confident and competent registered healthcare professionals.
Having established the range of clinical placements it is vital these are utilised and maintained, and we constantly review and realise the potential of further opportunities to expose our future healthcare professionals to (particularly as they evolve and transform) clinical settings and care.
Ensuring students have a quality clinical placement and learning experience across clinical practice environments is critical; we rely on prepared, committed practice educators, supervisors and assessors directly providing support in learning and assessment in practice activities to develop and deliver quality assured placements for students.
Gloucestershire Health and Care is committed to embedding and providing personalised care through all of its services as part of our high-quality care strategy.
