Job Description
My client is now looking to recruit an experienced Class 1 skilled Fabricator / Plater. The Fabricator / Plater will be responsible for performing a variety of fabricating and welding activities to support the manufacturing facility using Carbon, Stainless Steels & High Nickel Alloys. You will need to have a strong understanding of processes and materials to fulfill delivery of Flare Tips, Power Burner, Process Burners, Skids, and Pressure Vessel fabrications. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings to determine materials and cutting lists, as well as planning task sequences, will be crucial. Key to this role will be your ability to determine priorities to ensure continuous workflow between disciplines, ultimately achieving target dates and on-time delivery.
As Fabricator / Plater, you will carry out and tack up fabrications accurately, safely, and to consistent levels of finish to the set quality standards as determined by contract specifications. The Fabricator / Plater will be required to understand the Quality Assurance system for materials entry, follow welding procedures fabrication drawings, and will have had experience with producing products compliant within a Quality System (ISO9001 : 2015).

Interpretation of isometrics and engineering drawingsFabricate parts from drawingsGood understanding of imperial / metric dimensionsPrepare parts for welding (saw, pillar drill, grinding, pipe bending, pipe threading, weld preparation)Welding or preparation and tack up of class 1 / ISO 3834 welding activities, including understanding and interpretation of WPSWelded joints (to include fillet, lap, corner and butt (open and double sided) in accordance with the requirements of ASME IX ISO 15614Ensure ALL machines are checked on a daily basis completing relevant check sheetsSkills
