This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Day to day duties of the role
- Teaching practical and theory sessions in Carpentry and related Construction areas, teaching across a range of topics, as agreed with the Heads of Area.
- Tutoring and pastoral support for students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
- Meeting targets, with reference to student progress on programmes, for their attendance and retention to maximise their learning opportunity.
- Providing advice and guidance to new and existing students in their journey to either employment or other courses within the Construction at the College.
Required skills and qualifications
5 years professional experience in the Construction industry.Carpentry qualification at Level 2 (e.g., Craft Certificate or NVQ L2).Advanced Carpentry qualification at Level 3 (e.g., Advanced Craft or NVQ L3).Benefits
