Production Planning Engineer

Contek Recruitment are currently working with the UK's leading precision machine tool spindle manufacturer, in their search for a new Production Planning Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position, based in Coventry, West Midlands.Salary Info : £35k - £40k per year (Depending on experience)Working Hours : Monday to Thursday (07 : 30 AM until 16 : 30 PM) and Friday (07 : 30 AM until 12 : 30 PM)Duties & Responsibilities :

• To understand the company quality systems and improve with the managers and directors.
• Preparation of quotations / e-mails as required.
• Organisation of engineering drawing systems.
• Preparation of spreadsheets for costing and budget analysis purposes.
• Maintaining existing and setting up new supplier relationships as required.
• Preparation and issuing of Purchase Orders to suppliers.
• Sorting out supplier and customer engineering queries as and when they arise, liaising with engineering contractors as required..
• Assistance with packing and despatch as and when required.
• Attending to visitors in a polite and courteous manner, looking after customers and suppliers as required.
• Customer and supplier site visits will be required.
• Marshalling of parts to prepare kits of parts ready for assembly.
• Identification of parts shortages and chasing up shortages, ordering missing items etc.Requirements :
