Electrical AP

Mk Search are currently working with a well respected electrical contractor with a turnover of £25m and a strong presence delivering notable schemes for leading main contractors across sectors who are looking to engage with a number of electrical AP's over the coming monts.They are happy to consider people already operating at this level but are also interested in speaking to approved electricians who are looking for a new challenge and a step up.All relevant training and qualifications to become an AP will be provided in-house by the company.Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue and control safety documents for the management of Power on Energisation
• Carry out the management of Electrical Power on and Energisation, switching, isolations and earthing through Permits, access management and Safety to works Sign off
• Prepare switching schedules and management documents for Power on / Off authorisation
• Deliver Competent Personnel training to all Site Managers and Electrical Subcontractors
• Attend site handover meetings
• Implement the relevant requirements of the company Safety, Quality, Environmental and Operational within the areas of responsibility
• Conduct recorded weekly Safety Walks of the Works ensuring compliance with company procedures, policies and safety rules
• Ensure site drawings are accurate and current
• Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all Electrical working and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner
• Witness testing and commissioning activities when required
• Supervise works where necessary throughout the Project
• Supervise subcontractors where necessary to work safely and in accordance with Safety systems of work
• Ensure full compliance with all Electrical Safety requirements and produce control documents to manage this.
• Read drawings, specifications and meet all Client Requirements on installation and safety.The company are very well respected in the industry and have a very busy order book of upcoming projects. They are happy to pay people on a contract (CIS or Ltd) or permanent basis and have a very stable workforce commited to long term tenures and progressing within the company
