Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Tameside Council's Early Help Team as an Advanced Practitioner. This is a full time role offering a fantastic pay rate of £37 per hour.

Responsibilities :

  • Support the leadership and management team.
  • Provide robust initial and final management oversight to Early Help referrals received in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and via the Team Around the Setting (TAS).
  • Expected to make decisions based on the Tameside threshold of need document.
  • Expected to provide management oversight and case direction to the Early Help Advisers as well as the allocation of cases.
  • Support the decision making in regards to referrals to Early Help and ensuring the best outcomes for children, young people and families.
  • Expected to professionally challenge where required to ensure that children, young people and families receive the right level of support at the right time.
  • Responsible for the supervision of Early Help Advisers.
  • Expected to allocate and manage the caseloads of the Early Help Advisers ensuring that timescales and key performance indicators in place are adhered to.
  • Required to quality assure and finalise the Early Help Advisers decision making in line with the threshold of need document.
  • Responsible for identifying themes, completing audits and collecting data to support the development of the service and identify training needs for Early Help Advisers and other professionals.
  • Have a good understanding of the Early Help offer available to families and the importance of the support identified / provided to prevent escalation to statutory services where possible.
  • Work closely with partner agencies such as schools, health, children's social care, police, voluntary sector etc.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of professionals and be able to manage competing priorities.
  • Work closely with Targeted Family Help and support the step up / step down processes in place. Ensuring that the right service is in place for the family and the needs identified.
  • Work as part of a wider Early Help team and support the continued development of the services.
  • Requirements :

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Social Work England registered
  • Enhanced DBS
