An opportunity has arisen for a caring organised person to join our small team as a personal assistant.

I have a spinal cord injury and am wheelchair dependent, living at home with my wife and two dogs. I need personal care to help me get up and back into bed and like to be active during the day, taking part in a variety of interests and hobbies. I’m also very involved in charity work, mainly for the air ambulance.

Food and drink is provided during working hours and there are no car parking charges.

All staff work over a four week rota and the hours vary slightly each week, evening and weekend work is included in the rota. Sleep in nights are required periodically.

The successful applicant must be available to cover during holidays, sickness and emergencies.

You will receive :

• Probation period (6 months) rate of £11.80 per hour, rising to £12.30 per hour once competent. Nights (9.00pm – 8.00am) are paid at £11.44 per hour
• A pension if eligible
• 5.6 weeks per year pro rata annual leave
• Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
