Job description

Are you hands-on, people-focused, and passionate about creating safe, welcoming environments? At Retirement Villages Group, we’re redefining later-life living and we’re looking for an experienced Estates Supervisor to help keep our beautiful Thamesfield Village running smoothly, inside and out.

As an Estates Supervisor, you’ll manage a team of operatives while personally delivering grounds and maintenance work. From co-ordinating schedules and overseeing maintenance to making sure the gardens and grounds are well kept; you’ll be at the heart of keeping our village looking and feeling its best.

Role responsibilities :

  • Lead and coordinate estates operations, scheduling maintenance and grounds work
  • Deliver hands-on general and specialist maintenance tasks
  • Maintain buildings, fixtures, equipment, and grounds to high standards
  • Regularly tests alarm systems, reporting any issues promptly to management
  • Collaborate with the wider estates and facilities team to ensure repairs are carried out promptly in-house where possible, or addressed by a third-party supplier to acceptable standards
  • Supervise team members and support their development
  • Monitor supplies and manage equipment needs within budget
  • Support emergency response procedures and health & safety practices

Experience :

  • 1–3 years of job-related experience in estates, maintenance, or facilities roles
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience, including planning and managing resources
  • Physical stamina to carry out hands-on duties across indoor and outdoor environments
