Job description
The main purpose of this role is to act as a lead Occupational Health and Safety Adviser / Officer, responsible for monitoring and reporting on the effective implementation of DVSA Occupational Health and Safety Policies and guidance.
Communicating effectively with all parts of the Agency is a key part of this role and the holder will be expected to organise, coordinate and contribute effectively across DVSA, engaging with all stakeholders as appropriate.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to be someone who has experience of implementing Health & Safety policies and practices.
You will bring with you your experience of writing reports, ensuring the work you produce is to a high standard and is clear for others to understand.
You have outstanding interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with others at all levels.
Additional Information
Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement, for the successful candidate to be able to work at least 35 hours per week.
This role can be based in Cardiff, Bristol or Swansea your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location . Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
There will be regular travel involved visiting sites for inspection with this role throughout Wales and the surrounding areas, this could occur 2-3 times a week and may include overnight stays. For this role you will be attached to one of our corporate locations in Cardiff, Bristol or Swansea, where presence at this site will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you.
