Independent Reviewing Officer - London

For the of Independent Reviewing Officer, you will be :

• Chairing child care review meetings for children and young people who are in the care of the local authority.
• Ensuring the child or young person's care plan is being implemented and in their best interests.
• Ensure that permanency planning is undertaken at the earliest opportunity
• Ensuring you write a comprehensive record of the child care review meeting to the child
• Undertaking midway reviews to ensure the care plan is being implemented
• Raising any concerns through the local authority escalation process
• Ensuring that children and young people are involved in their child care review meetings
• Participate in a duty system
