MIG Welder

Our client is an established engineering company based in Hastings and Battle, providing a wide range of welding, fabrication and control systems to commercial and domestic clients. Our client is currently looking for a MIG Welder to join their busy and friendly team on a temporary basis in Bodiam, East Sussex.The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within this industry, and be able to weld with MIG to a very high standard. As a MIG Welder you will be working predominately on structural work and adhering to technical drawings. Due to the location of the vacancy, you must have a valid Driving Licence and your own transport.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities : Demonstrable experience using Metal Inert Gas (MIG)Experience of working with mild steelSolid understanding of mathematicsUnderstanding of measuring tools such as callipers, rules, feeler gauges, and pi tapesBe able to read mechanical drawingsBe polite, informative and have a professional attitude towards customers and co-workersMust be a multi-tasking team playerValid Driving Licence and own transport are essentialYour duties as a MIG Welder will include : Evaluate all drawings and ensure implementation according to welding specificationsPerform all welding work with the help of forming and cutting equipmentProvide assistance to production processes and mould various fixturesPerform efficient welding of various metal objectsAnalyse diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordinglyEvaluate finished products and perform quality checks on productsTo follow all processes and procedures contained within the companies ISO9001 / BSEN1090 QMSSalary : Day Shift :   £14 - £15 per hour depending on experienceEvening Shift : £14 - £15 per hour depending on experience with an 18% uplift (£16.52 - £17.70 per hour)Hours : Day Shift : Monday – Friday, 6am - 2pm (40 hours per week)Evening Shift : Monday - Friday, 1.45pm - 10pm (41.25 hours per week)Temp to PermLocation : Bodiam, East SussexStart Date : ASAP
