Band 4 Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor (OTTI)

Adult Specialist Eating Disorder Community Post Admission Relapse Prevention and Liaison Enhancing Local Services (PARALEL)

Location : Unit 4 Pioneer House North Rd Ellesmere Port CH65 1AD

Start Date : ASAP

Contract : full time / part time / Fixed term till September 2026

Hours : to be discussed within the hours of Monday to Friday 8 : 00-4 : 00

Band 4 Salary : £26,530-£29,114 pro rata

What You’ll Do

  • You will work as an OTTI within an exciting new and emerging rehabilitation relapse prevention team.
  • You will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering person-centred interventions and feedback any relevant information concerning service users and carers.
  • You will be part of a client-centred service where the needs of the individual will determine the intervention. This will mean that the successful postholder will plan and work engaging service users across a variety of therapeutic interventions. These interventions may be carried out in groups, individually via face-to-face contact or virtually.
  • You will need to use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • You will record clinical documentation in a timely and organised manner.
  • You will work as part of our small team to help set up a service to ensure a seamless and supportive care experience for every individual.
  • You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of eating disorders, mental health conditions and Occupational Therapy.

  • Experience of this type of work is desirable but experience of working with people with eating disorders, aptitude and motivation are considered to be essential qualities in providing the high standards of service that this post demands.
