Salary : Competitive, based on experience (Average : £40,000 - £50,000)

Location : Whitefield, Manchester

Employment Type : Full-time permanent, Monday to Friday

The Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Java / Kotlin Developer to join our growing tech team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Kotlin . This is a fantastic opportunity for developers with experience in Java and Kotlin to work on innovative projects, expand their skill set, and take on a key role within the development team.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain applications using Java and Kotlin .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust software solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code, following best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise code for better performance and reliability.
Stay current with the latest technologies, frameworks, and trends in the Java / Kotlin ecosystem.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.

Key Skills & Experience :

Proven experience with Java and Kotlin development.

Familiarity with web development frameworks and tools such as Spring and Hibernate .

Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns.

Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of databases, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI / CD processes.

Desirable :

Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Familiarity with Android development using Kotlin.

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes .

Target Salary :

40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
