Job description

We require an experienced DevOps Engineer to help support and evolve my clients strategic API Management service, together with helping to skill share across the team. This role will be initially be until the end of March 2025, but could be extended for the those who can show the right technical and interpersonal capabilities.

The role is INSIDE IR35 & paying up to £685 per day.

The successful candidate MUST have active SC Clearance . Anyone without active SC will NOT be considered

Duties will include :

Supporting the developer teams using the API Management Service
Providing technical advice to internal users of the system
Automating support processes to reduce administrative overhead
Assisting testing and peer reviews of technical delivery
Sharing knowledge with other team members

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrable experience of supporting and working on live products

Experience with Git / GitHub and the Atlassian toolset (JIRA and Confluence)

Demonstrable knowledge of using Amazon AWS services including Lambda, EC2, VPC (networking) and experience of the AWS CodePipeline

Proficient in Python and Linux shell scripting ( Bash)

Strong teamwork and communications skills with evidence of an organised and structured approach to your work and ability to work within an agile scrum team environment

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

A working knowledge of REST APIs using an API Management solution ( WSO2, Apigee)

Working knowledge of Auth and Auth protocols, including OAuth2 and API keys

Collaborative team ethic
