HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Description Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1, CE, Class 1 SHUNTER DRIVER on behalf of our client to join their team in LEEDS, LS10. This is a temporary to permanent position for the successful applicant. This position will start ASAP. Hours of work : NightsMonday to Friday22 : 00hr - 06 : 00hr40 hours per week basicSalary and permanent basis : £28,000 per yearOvertime paid at time and half after 8 hours per day when permanent and temporary.Minimum pay 8 hours per shift whilst working for the agencyPension will be offeredLong Service rewardsGym and Health club discounts along with Shops and restaurantsHoliday TradingLife AssuranceCycle to work SchemeThe Role : Shunting on sites in a HGV 1 , CE, class 1 vehicle - bay and yard workHGV 1 workFollow, promote and communicate the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Company's proceduresDuties / Responsibilities : Shunting in a HGV 1, CE, class 1 vehicle in the Yard / bay workCarrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.Essential Skills : Be able to work on own initiativeMust hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence.Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.Some shunting experience would be advantageousGood communication skills.Good customer relations.Have a safe driving record.A minimum of 12 months' experience as a Class 1 driverNo more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
