Job Summary

We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as Programme Assistant. Working closely with the Artistic Programme Manager, you’ll be supporting a thriving programme of events and projects.

Job Description

This role will help to support a programme aligned with The Met's vision, mission and values. You'll help to develop and maintain outstanding relationships with regional, national and international booking agents, promoters and artists, and will support the wider internal staff team and programme administration processes.

Ideal role for somebody who is highly organised and has confident communication skills. Must have some understanding of the principles of the music industry but full support will be provided.

We're a super flexible organisation and this role can work around other commitments.

This is a part-time role (21.75 hours / 3 days per week) on a 12 month fixed term contract. Salary for this role is Real Living Wage.

Job Requirements

  • An understanding of the principles of the music and wider arts industry
  • Excellent digital literacy and administrative skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills; in person, on email and over the phone
  • Highly organised, with effective time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently alongside multiple departments
  • An interest in and enthusiasm for live music, theatre and performance
  • Experience in a similar venue programme, artist development or arts sector role
