Due to continued growth my client is recruiting for a Field Service Technician with electrical bias. They are a leading manufacturer of specialist automated machinery used in a wide range of industries. Their ideal candidate will have proven mechanical machine build, fitting as well as site installation experience. The role requires 2-3 weeks at a time site installations abroad. You would be out 3-4 weeks at a time. Travelling on average 130 days per year.Field Service Technician role
Servicing and retrofitting / upgrading machines at customer sites internationally Workshop based when not at customers sites Fault find mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues Replace or repair worn or defective components as necessary on-site and remote technical support to customers Build and maintain strong relationships with customers technical service reports documenting all work performed including photos. Provide a high level of customer service and professionalismField Service Technician requirement
Educated to relevant Electrical qualification Interpret electrical schematics Diagnose and fault find of 3 phase systems Knowledge of PLC software / systems (Siemens) and fault finding / diagnosis of systems AC / DC drive systems Vacuum systems / product knowledge is desirable not essential. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, machine controls and other mechanical systems Proven experience working as a full, supportive team member and independently Good communication skills, verbally, listening and written High level attention to detail Must be prepared to travel worldwideField Service Technician package
