Marine Engineer

Our client, a Marine Operational Support Provider, are currently seeking a Fast Rescue Craft / Marine Engineer to join their team, based in Lowestoft.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity.

Working hours : AA

Monday to Friday : 07 : 30 - 16 : 30, with a one-hour lunch break.

Paid for a 40 hour week.

Overtime potentially available at enhanced rates.

Job role :

As the Fast Rescue Craft / Marine Engineer, you will be required to carry out repairs to the fast rescue and Daughter craft onboard the fleet of Emergency Response and Rescue vessels and / or in house repair workshops.

Candidate Requirements / Qualifications :

Marine or General Engineering background / qualification.

Good understanding of petrol 2 / 4 stroke engines or diesel engines.

Knowledge / experience of 12-volt electrics and / or the marine industry.

Computer literate.

Full driving licence.

Duties include (but arent limited to) :

Ensuring all shipboard repairs are carried out in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Keeping company approved Planned Maintenance records up to date.

Providing out-of-hours support, as and when required.

Actively promoting and progressing the company QHSE Policies.
