We are offering an exciting fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity, ending 31 / 03 / 25, for a dynamic and motivated professional to join our NWAFT Pathology team as a Deputy Quality Manager.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and ongoing development of our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring that we not only meet but exceed regulatory and accreditation standards.

Main duties of the job
As the Deputy Quality Manager, you will contribute to the design and implementation of quality systems in alignment with the Pathology Service Manager and Quality Manager's strategies, ensuring they meet clinical and governance standards. You'll assist in harmonizing quality processes across the service to meet user needs and support departments in maintaining compliance with UKAS standards.
Additionally, you'll participate in quality initiatives, provide expertise to ensure accreditation compliance, and manage day-to-day quality operations. You'll also deputise for the Pathology Quality Manager in handling Freedom of Information requests and analysing Datix incident trends.
