They are now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team.
The role is a broad-based finance and administration position working across Purchase, Sales, Nominal ledgers and Payroll.
Key Duties (But not limited too)
Purchasing & Purchase Ledger :
- Be the first point of contact for suppliers
- Raising of purchase orders for 2 UK sites for approval by manager
- Processing purchase invoices, and liaising with relevant departments to resolve any queries (UK & USA)
- Preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs for approval by manager (UK), ensuring creditors are paid to terms
- Posting cash to ledger (UK & USA)
- Statement reconciliations (UK & USA)
Sales Ledger :
Invoice generation and processing for (UK & USA)Collecting card payments from clients (UK)Liaising with clients to collect payments ahead of deliveries (UK)Posting cash to ledger (UK & USA)Payroll / Employee Administration :
Cover for weekly payroll, including journal preparation, overtime and holiday / absence reportingAssist HR with maintenance of employee recordsOther :
Management & journal posting of company credit cards (UK)Maintenance of material import spreadsheet for quarterly HMRC import returnsLiaising with commercial departments (UK & USA) to resolve incomplete information issues with importsCandidate Requirements :
Broad based experience in all aspects of financeExcel user to reasonable standardExposure to manufacturing environment desirable but not essentialPayroll experience desirable but not essential as training will be providedAbility to assist and work alongside Assistant Accountant & Financial ControllerBehaviours & Attitudes :
