Junior Bookkeeper

About the Role

As part of the outsourcing team—which includes bookkeepers, management accountants, and payroll administrators—you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to clients. The work you do will form the foundation of everything they delivers.

You’ll be responsible for :

Day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse client base using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and ClearBooks

Managing client relationships and supporting them with software and bookkeeping queries

Completing bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, and other entries up to trial balance

Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns

Ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales

Preparing schedules and reports as needed

Requirements

About You

We're looking for someone who :

Has well-rounded bookkeeping knowledge

Is experienced with cloud-based accounting software

Can work independently and manage their own workload

Is detail-oriented with excellent time management skills

Delivers outstanding customer service

Is proactive and a strong team player

Has experience in an accountancy practice (preferred)
