About the Role :

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Stockport. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and contribute to a well-established MFL department.

As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic language lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school is looking for a teacher who can create an interactive and immersive learning environment, helping students develop their language skills and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach one or more languages (such as French, Spanish, or German) to a range of student abilities.
  • Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in the target language.
  • Foster an enthusiasm for language learning and cultural appreciation.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, providing tailored support and intervention where necessary.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, setting high expectations to drive achievement.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including involvement in extracurricular language clubs or trips.

Requirements :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching MFL at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is beneficial but not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • A commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a culture of academic success.
