Job Title : Nursery Practitioner

Location : Christchurch, Dorset

Salary : £12.82 per hour

Start Date : September 2025

Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent (Part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

GSL Education are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a nurturing primary school in Christchurch . This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children at the beginning of their learning journey, helping them grow in confidence and curiosity.

Whether you're an experienced Nursery Practitioner or a university student looking to gain hands-on experience, this role offers a meaningful start to your career in education.

What You’ll Do :

  • Support the planning and delivery of exciting and educational activities.
  • Assist children with routines such as playtime, snack time, and learning sessions.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help develop early social skills.
  • Support each child's emotional well-being and personal growth.
  • Build strong, caring relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Experience working with young children is desirable; childcare qualifications are a bonus.
  • University students who are looking to build a career in education are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous SEN experience is an added bonus.
  • A genuine love for working with young children and helping them flourish.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years , with explanations for any gaps.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
