Rate : £94.34 - £106 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in a primary school in East Riding . This is your chance to play a crucial role in shaping students' futures, providing support and inspiration every step of the way!

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in East Riding , you will be instrumental in leading lessons and providing additional learning support across different year groups. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Lead the Way : Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Support and Inspire : Support individual and small group learning across Key Stages 1 and 2.
Plan and Engage : Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities.
Monitor and Adapt : Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
Collaborate for Success : Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to students’ development.
Create a Welcoming Environment : Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment to foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where students feel valued and included.
Innovate and Motivate : Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to their diverse learning styles and needs.
Track and Report : Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and report to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties.

Requirements for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.

Demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and needs of students with specific educational needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships.

Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.

Deep commitment to helping students by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions.

Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential).

The right to work in the UK.

An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one.
