Senior Buyer

Futures are looking to recruit a senior buyer to work for a rapidly growing manufacturing business who supply on a global basis. The successful senior buyer must have an engineering and or manufacturing background and know exotic metals. It is essential the senior buyer can read and understand engineering drawings.Roles and Responsibilities : Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliersInterface with other departments and Suppliers for all matters related to the procurement of Project materials, equipment and sub-contract servicesProvide procurement support for new designs, and when necessary, participate in bid reviews and evaluationsNegotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methodsPurchase goods, materials, components or services in accordance with specified technical, quality and delivery requirementsThe ideal Candidate : Well established experience in buying / procurement in engineeringPossess strong knowledge on procuring technical equipment / materialsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities, negotiate effectively and to coach other members of the team where appropriate If this sounds like your next role, click apply now to find out more
