Job description

We are recruiting for a well-established precision engineering company in Rotherham, specialising in high-quality CNC machining and manufacturing. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Quality Control Inspector with an engineering background who is eager to develop their skills in quality control.

  • 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

Monday - Friday - Days Only

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in machining, tooling, or general engineering who wants to step into a quality-focused role. You will be responsible for ensuring that all components meet strict quality standards before they are delivered to customers. Training will be provided, but a solid engineering foundation is essential.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Control Inspector :

  • Inspecting machined components to ensure they meet customer specifications
  • Using a range of measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
  • Assisting in identifying and resolving quality issues in production
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in quality control
  • Documenting and reporting quality checks accurately

    • Requirements of a Quality Control Inspector :

  • Engineering background – experience in machining, tooling, or CNC manufacturing is beneficial
  • A keen interest in quality control and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring tools such as verniers and micrometers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
