Who We Are Looking For :
Carpenters at our clients sites embark on a journey across diverse boat lines, meticulously crafting bespoke carpentry within luxurious cabins, contemporary kitchens, and lavish bathrooms. Working collaboratively within small teams, carpenters engage with an array of materials and exquisite wood finishes, ensuring each project reflects the hallmark of their excellence.
Skilled Carpenters bring with them a wealth of experience in carpentry and joinery, particularly in outfitting kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms, or specializing in bench joinery. With a penchant for delivering superior craftsmanship, Skilled Carpenters thrive in our 'Fit Out' teams, adding the final luxurious touches to our products.
Semi-Skilled Carpenters, while possessing foundational skills, may benefit from additional guidance as they contribute to our 'First Stage' teams, shaping bulkheads and larger carpentry components. Drawing from construction experience or initial fit work, Semi-Skilled Carpenters play a vital role in the early stages of production.
As a carpenter your responsibilities will span from panel spraying and CNC machinery operation to joinery and furniture assembly, working with a diverse range of materials including plywood, softwood, vinyl, leather, and soft furnishings.
You will be equiped with carpentry power tools, while hand tools such as screwdriver sets, tape measures, and levels are expected to be provided by the individual.
Position Location :
Based at either Our Client Shipyards or Our Client Willis Way in Poole, Dorset.
The Ideal Candidate :
Demonstrates proficiency in interpreting scaled drawings (1 : 10s) Strives for excellence, excelling in precision work and high-value projects Possesses a coachable demeanor, always seeking improvement Preferably has experience in scribing
Work Schedule :
Day Shift : Monday-Friday, 07 : 00-15 : 30 Night Shift : Monday-Thursday, 18 : 00-04 : 00 Weekend overtime opportunities available
Pay Rates effective from the 4th March 2024 :
14.00p / h PAYE (Semi-Skilled)
15.05-£16.05p / h PAYE (Skilled)
20.06p / h - £21.40p / h PAYE - Nights Overtime paid at increased rates
