  • Competitive salary of up to £55k
  • Handforth based, with opportunity to work from home.
  • UK wide travel as required.

About the Role

Working as a key part of the learning & development Management team, you will support and work with the Head of Talent & Capability to identify the current and future skills, capabilities and talent requirements in an enterprise capacity, creating flexible learning interventions (digital and other) to meet the needs of our colleagues and achieve our business and people strategy.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end core and future skills, capabilities and talent service, ensuring learning solutions achieve personal development aspirations and desired business performance goals.

You’ll operate with an enterprise mindset and approach to solutions, and build and deliver learning interventions which are flexible, and profiled in such a way to support the specific needs of our colleagues and stakeholders across our entire business (Vets Practices, Distribution Centre, Pet Care Centres, and Support Office).

Your role will focus on improving our colleague’s learning experience and performance, through values and behaviours, management and leadership development, performance management, new talent induction, and future talent programs.

This role will see you :

  • Managing and delivering core skills and capability development for colleagues from their start with the business through ongoing growth.
  • Ensuring that all learning solutions are understood, adopted, and maintained across the organisation.
  • Designing relevant learning solutions that support the future success of the business.
  • Continuously improving and updating learning solutions based on business changes.
  • Providing in-house learning solutions, including compliance and ongoing professional development for all relevant colleagues when needed.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to embed a culture of continuous feedback with high challenge, high support and development across the organisation.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of services and solutions, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Continually developing, improving and maintaining our solutions and demonstrating continued return on investment.
  • Quality assurance of service solutions and ensuring all compliance learning solutions are available and reported on in line with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Leveraging technology to provide excellent knowledge management capabilities, ensuring our solutions are simple, effective and accessible to colleagues supporting an excellent learning experience so that they can provide great service to our consumers.

  • About You – what we would like you to bring to our role

    Skills & Knowledge

  • CIPD or TAP qualification.
  • Significant relevant experience of operating at training level.
  • L&D creation & delivery experience.
  • Focused on continuous improvement, measuring outcomes based on data, trends, analysis and review.
  • Behaviours & Expertise

  • Engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about adult learning and training.
  • Meticulous in ensuring quality and consistency in delivery of training.
  • Strategic and service mindset – value to business.
  • Clear, articulate and confident communicator – able to engage and influence key stakeholders.

    In addition to the basic salary, we also offer the below headline benefits :

  • Annual bonus potential of 15% of salary (based on both company and individual performance).
