MOT Tester

Underwoods Motoring in Clacton is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join their growing team of skilled garage professionals.

As an Authorised Repairer for Vauxhall, Skoda, Ford, and Kia, this is an exciting time of development for Underwoods and an ideal opportunity to be part of a growing team. As a well-established garage in the local and surrounding communities, we have a loyal clientele and an excellent reputation, offering an exceptional level of service to all our customers.

Experience as an MOT tester / Technician in a busy garage environment and educated to City & Guilds / NVQ standard.

Duties include :

• Conduct MOT tests on various vehicle types, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
• Identify and diagnose mechanical faults or issues that may affect vehicle performance or safety.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results, documenting any necessary repairs or recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding test outcomes and required maintenance or repairs.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.

Working hours are 8 : 00-17 : 30 Monday to Friday only, no working Saturday. Full UK driving license required.

In addition to the salary, the employee will benefit from the company profit share scheme.
