Assistant Merchandiser Overview

Our client is a highly successful, global retailer looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their fashion team for 12 months, with the prospect of this becoming permanent.

Assistant Merchandiser Responsibilities

Range planning
Review in season trading – daily / weekly / monthly
Taking historical sales data and forecasting future trends
Reviewing product performance on a weekly basis and making suggestions for re-buying, prices adjustments and quantities.
Use sales reports to assess targets and raise issues with the Merchandiser
Constantly reviewing product performance
Working closely with the Buying Teams and provide updates to Logistics and Distribution
Manage the delivery and shipment deadlines and provide updates on any issues / delays and rectify where possible
Excellent knowledge of the whole department so you have the ability to cover the Merchandiser in their absence

Assistant Merchandiser Skills and Experience

Competent using Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS

Excellent communication skills

Confident working to your own initiative, but to also ask questions, when necessary, especially as you will sometimes be working from home

Excellent Analytical and PC Skills

Assistant Merchandiser Additional Information

Hybrid working – 2 / 3 days a week in the office
