Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager looking for an opportunity to drive change and implement best-in-class maintenance systems ? Do you have a proactive approach and a passion for engineering excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We are seeking a hands-on, self-starting Maintenance Manager to lead and develop the maintenance function within a leading food production facility. This role requires someone with the drive to implement systems , improve efficiency, and ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement robust maintenance systems to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team , ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure all work is carried out efficiently.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and regulatory standards .
  • Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor relationships to optimise resources.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to reduce breakdowns and inefficiencies.
  • Support the introduction of new machinery and engineering projects.

What We’re Looking For :

A self-starter with a proactive approach to maintenance and process improvements.

Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or Engineering Leadership role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems , including PPM, fault finding, and troubleshooting.

Experience implementing maintenance systems and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on developing and motivating teams .

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and meet business demands.

Excellent knowledge of health & safety and compliance regulations in a manufacturing setting.
