SCIENCE TEACHER

A thriving secondary school in Sutton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their successful Science department. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and collaborative learning environment. The school need an excellent Science Teacher .

The Ideal Candidate Will Be :

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
  • Experienced in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching a specific science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) to A-Level is desirable, but not essential.
  • Enthusiastic about science and able to engage students of all abilities.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
  • A team player who is willing to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Committed to continuous professional development.
  • A fantastic Science Teacher

Key Responsibilities :

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons.
  • Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Regularly assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attainment.
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom / laboratory environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the Science department.
  • Contributing to the development of the Science curriculum.
  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Communicating effectively with parents / guardians.
  • Adhering to all school safeguarding policies.The Science Teacher will undertake the above.
