Exciting Opportunity for a Long-Term Supply Design and Technology Teacher in Durham!

Are you a passionate and dedicated DT Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term position? We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious secondary school in Durham as a Supply Geography Teacher. This position, starting in January 2025 and extending through summer 2025, offers the chance to inspire students and cultivate their understanding of the business world.

The Role :

As a Supply DT Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional business education to students in a supportive secondary school environment. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons that align with the national curriculum
  • Instilling a love for business through innovative teaching methods and practical applications
  • Assessing students' progress and providing valuable feedback to support their growth
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
  • Collaborating with fellow Business Studies Teachers and school staff to enhance teaching resources

Requirements :

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes :

  • Proven experience as a Design and Technology Teacher, dedicated to fostering understanding in engineering and woodwork
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in business
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
