Job description

Baines Simmons, leaders in Aviation Safety Training and Consultancy Services, are looking for an Associate (who will work on an ad-hoc, freelance, daily rate basis) to deliver EASA / UK CAA / EMAR Part 21 Subpart G training to our global customer base. In addition, you will provide consultancy services to applicants and / or approved organisations, in both commercial and military domains. This is a remote working opportunity, but the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel globally as part of the role.

What we are looking for :

You need to be UK based and be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally as part of the role.

Essential :

  • HNC / HND or degree in an aerospace subject or equivalent based qualification
  • Detailed knowledge of the Part 21 regulations / requirements and their interactions
  • A minimum of 10 years working within a production environment
  • A detailed understanding of quality systems such as AS9100
  • Strong interpersonal skills alongside a passion for the subject matter
  • The ability to apply the regulations / requirements in a practical manner
  • The ability to captivate and engage an audience
  • A willingness and ability to travel globally as required

Desirable :

  • Previous experience of working within a training / consultancy environment
  • Training experience
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance / Compliance Monitoring functions
  • Experience of civil and military production domains
  • Previous or current audit experience within the Part 21 Subpart G environment (regulatory, internal or supplier quality assurance)
  • Comprehension of Aviation Safety Management Systems
  • An insight and realisation of Human Factors and Human Performance limitations on personnel working within the production domain
  • An awareness of the EMAR Framework in particular EMAR 21
  • A holistic knowledge of all airworthiness domains
  • A thorough understanding of Root Cause Analysis tools and techniques
