Job summary
We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our team, due the retirement of one of the GP partners.
Westgate Doctors Surgery is a well-established, single site practice based in the lovely seaside location of Westgate-on-Sea, Kent.
We have 10,500 registered patients and the current team comprises of four GP partners, one salaried GP, two advanced nurse practitioners and a compliment of practice nurses, health care assistants, a care coordinator and a social prescriber.
We host an audiology service and physiotherapy services, and offer the follwing :
- Personal patient lists
- Access to a dedicated home visiting service (therefore home visits are minimal)
- In house women's health support.
- Direct access to FCP appointments
- Access to a Care Enhancement team, supporting patients in their homes
- Supportive daily clinical meetings
- Good CQC rating
- High QoF achievements
- EMIS Web clinical system
Main duties of the job
Working as an autonomous practitioner you will be responsible for the provision of medical services to your personal list of patients.
You will deliver an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract, participate in enhanced services and the achievement of QoF targets.You will participate in the covering the duty doctor session on a rotational basis, which includes a finishYou will offer generic prescribing, adhering to local and national guidanceMaintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidanceWork collaboratively with practice team and wider PCN team.Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit processAttend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as requiredEnsure compliance with the appraisal processProvide reports for employers,solicitors and insurance companies and complete medical certificates, benefitagency forms etc.Ensure that all work carried outwhich carries a private fee is properly recouped and accounted for.Prepare and complete the revalidation processCommit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice teamSupport the training of medical students from all clinical disciplinesSupport the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice.Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policiesAbout us

Job responsibilities
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for theprovision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
