Our South Downs Eco Lodge has a 39 bed self-catering wing; a newly re-furbished 25 bed & breakfast
wing with bed & breakfast catering options; a small family campsite with off-grid yurts; indoor meeting rooms and Woodland Hall all set within our 55 acre woodland site.This is a full-time, permanent role and flexibility in working hours is a requirement with weekend work
expected.The Assistant Hospitality Manager is part of our management team and has a leading role in managing our overnight accommodation and group bookings.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has prior knowledge and experience of management within the hospitality industry. The successful candidate should be energetic, hardworking, enthusiastic, and enjoy working as part of a team and to be able to use and act on their own initiative.The Sustainability Centre has always sought to lead by example, offering practical solutions through our own experience, actions and knowledge. - To provide a welcome service to guests including checking them into their accommodation

Ensuring high standards of customer service to support our ethos of exceeding expectationsAble to manage bookings and payments over the phone, via email and online booking systemAble to respond to telephone and email messages efficiently and effectivelyAble to undertake routine maintenance and repairsReport any complaints and other feedback to the Accommodation Manager.Maintain excellent communication between other staff within your own team and across the organisation and site.Work closely with other staff to provide an excellent service to internal clients such as residential schools bookings and residential courses for adultsTo undertake other duties and tasks appropriate to the roles and as directed by the Accommodation Manager, Centre Manager or CEOKEY SKILLSKnowledge and experience of the hospitality industryExperience of managing staff and resourcesExperience of reporting effectivelyUnderstanding of customer service and the need to recognise the specific requirements of a wide range of groupsUnderstanding of the importance of policies to safeguard children and vulnerable adultsUnderstanding of Health and Safety legislation and practiceAbility to carry out routine tasks while maintaining high standards workKnowledge of the environmental and / or Sustainable Development sectorExperience of using IT including email and in-house IT systems e.g. Booking SystemsThe ability and willingness to work flexiblyThe ability to work with a range of different groups including corporate clients, schools and groups of vulnerable adultsAbility to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage your own time and workloadAbility to undertake practical and physical workTPBN1_UKCT
