We are currently recruiting for Upholsterers to work AM shifts Monday to Friday for a well-known retailer in their furniture division based in Armthorpe in their state-of-the-art facility. Due to growth, this is an area of the business where they see opportunities for future development for individuals!

This Upholsterer position is permanent working Monday to Friday 5.30am-1.45pm (0530-1345) offering an hourly rate of £14.04 per hour plus overtime paid at enhanced rates AND Uncapped Bonus!

Role

As an Upholsterer you will be upholstering a variety of sofa frames, as per quality standard specification using foam, fibre, fabric, and leather. Working as part of a production line your role will involve the following :

• Assembling the sofas using hand-held power tools such as nail guns ensuring production / upholstery targets are met.
• Check on components / materials to ensure they meet specification and report any defects found.
• Upholster units or part unit to specification using tools supplied.
• To ensure that all fabric matching requirements are met.
• To drill and mark frames as and when required, to specification.
• Order sundries from production assistants as and when required.
