Teaching Assistant

Permanent Opportunity

37 hours per week over 40 weeks

Salary; £22,256 FTE, (Pro-rata £19,688) per annum

College Group based in South Yorkshire & Nottinghamshire (must be available to commute across all campuses).

As a Teaching Assistant you will share a strong belief in young people’s ability to achieve their work and personal goals.

  • You will assist learners to engage in teaching activities and shared active learning using digital platforms / Google classroom and assistive technology.
  • You will create and maintain a purposeful and supportive teaching environment, in accordance with lesson / curriculum teaching plans.
  • You will provide teaching that builds from easier to more difficult tasks and breaks down harder skills into smaller parts, to support learners to develop their independence, life and powerful work skills.
  • You’ll require :

  • Hold or be working towards a Level 2 / Grade C in Maths and English.
  • Hold a level 1 or level 3 supporting teaching and learning qualification.
  • Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
