Key Responsibilities
- Search for new business and distribution networks in emerging markets
- Manage, train and mentor our team of Parts Sales Executives to exceed targets
- Ensure all members of the Sales team are fully conversant with and use the enquiry management system efficiently
- Review and allocate all incoming web / email sales enquiries as appropriate
- Follow up on all allocated enquiries with the sales team
- Ensure the sales team log all enquiries and record all contact with customers
- Contribute towards the improvement of internal systems and take a leading role in the implementation of procedures
- Oversee and, where required, attend visits to potential customers
- Act as a key contact between the company and its existing and new client bases
- Support the Sales Executives in negotiating the terms of agreements and in the closure of sales
- Gather market and customer information
- Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions and other events
- Negotiate contracts with prospective clients
- Advise the team on upcoming product developments and contribute towards the creation of special marketing campaigns
- Meet and exceed departmental targets
- Conduct regular performance reviews with team members
- Handle and resolve escalated customer service issues
- Follow up with customers in order to gauge and record customer satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities
- Follow up with 'lost lead' customers with a view to converting, where possible, into sales
- Responsibility for achieving high levels of customer service and satisfaction
- Chair weekly sales meetings
- Produce regular reports to senior management in relation to sales performance, customer service levels / issues and any day-to-day matters
