SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS)

Location : Primary School, Colne (BB8)

Position : Full-Time, January 2025

Pay rate : £12.90 - £13.90 per hour (before AWR)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Colne . This is a full-time position starting in January 2025 , continuing until the end of the academic year.

In this role, you will provide tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in the EYFS setting, working closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans. You will help create an inclusive and nurturing environment, ensuring that all children feel supported in their social, emotional, and academic development. Your contributions will be essential in assisting with classroom activities and ensuring children are actively engaged in their learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, preferably in an SEN or EYFS setting, and will be patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children's individual needs. A good understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to apply them in practice is essential. Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 or equivalent, are preferred. You should be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with staff, children, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
