Despatch Supervisor

We are partnered with a leading food manufacturing and processing business based in Northampton who are looking for a Despatch Supervisor on a permanent basis. The role is hands-on and responsible for supervising the despatch department.

Monday to Friday 45 hour week or 4 day 40 hour week

Job Description

Responsible for supervising the Despatch department and ensuring all staff adhere to working procedures and processes.

• Loading, unloading and palletising.
• Overseeing the completion of daily production schedules and communicating work instructions to all team members.
• Evaluating the performance of team leaders and operatives against designated instructions.
• Liaising with all members of the despatch department to monitor quality issues so that standards aren't compromised.
• Ensuring comprehensive traceability control.
• Training and retraining when required.

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

Valid Counterbalance Forklift license.

Previous experience working within food manufacturing is advantageous as you will be working in a chilled environment.
