ROLE – Mechanical FitterSALARY - £25,000 to £35,000, dependent on experienceTYPE – PermanentLOCATION –StaffordMy client provides unique Engineering services within the Energy and Power industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Stafford on a permanent basis.The Mechanical Fitter will ideally have the following attributes : Industry experience ideally working in a hands-on fitting / manufacture / assembly roleAble to read and work to technical drawingsPrevious experience repairing, maintaining or assembling machineryBasic understanding of electrical systemsGood mathematical and general engineering knowledgeExcellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining etc.Be technically minded and proactive, with a head for problem solvingSelf-motivated with excellent attention to detailHave excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Mechanical Fitter role will involve : Mechanical assembly of various products and machinesWorking to company standards for test and repairMaintaining equipment and machineryPerforming development activities and finding new mechanical solutionsBeing involved in the product design and development process using CADProducing the relevant documentation that is requiredDriving continuous improvement  If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
