Amalfino operates within our newly opened Four Points by Sheraton, positioned Edinburgh Haymarket. From here we present our guests and customers with the ultimate culinary experience where they can savour the flavours of Italy in our authentic Italian restaurant. From the moment they step into the elegant ambiance of Amalfino, they are transported to the heart of Italy, where each dish is crafted with passion and tradition. Our array of mouth-watering pastas and pizzas, succulent meats, and delectable desserts are all expertly prepared by our skilled chefs.
YOUR CORE PURPOSE WILL BE :
- Be the face of the restaurant, ensuring that the highest standards of hospitality are demonstrated at all times
- Greet guests and seat based on their booking information, providing them with clean menus.
- Guide guests through the dining area and provide assistance as required. Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs.
- Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures & our commitment to clean standards.
- Monitor reservations for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests.
- Communicate any important guest information to the waiting team and management
- Answer guest queries personally / online accurately and politely
- Review social media and respond to each review in a timely manner
- Assist with the receiving and the storage of goods
- Maintain good food safety, hygiene standards and practices
- Assist with the preparation of a food and beverage outlet for service including : Cleaning of equipment , glassware and china for service Preparation of waiter service stations Preparation of tables Serving of beverages / Table service Recording of replacement stock Billing procedures of items consumed in line with hotel / restaurant policy Cellar Operations
- Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships
- Attend and participate in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
- Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards to include :
- Maintain a high level of knowledge which will enhance the guest experience
- Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
- Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
- Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
- Be able to promote the hotel products and services
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
- Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager
