Your Role

Our Road Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel provide hundreds of customers with the services to move their goods across Europe. The sales team work directly to source, engage and maintain our customer base, ensuring that our customers shipments are booked in efficiently and delivered on time. We work with a diverse customer base – you could find yourself shipping Canoes to Croatia or Shoes to Slovakia. Every day is different! Your Responsibilities

Our 24-monthApprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfectblend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the SalesLevel 4 Apprenticeship standard. You will workwithin a successful Sales team while learning everything you need to know to bea top sales performer whilst supported by your peers, your managers, and theapprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.

In the first part of yourapprenticeship you will focus on getting to grips with delivering excellentcustomer service, and in the second part you will build on this foundation todevelop specialist Sales skills – you may even be given your own Customer Serviceor Sales Account to manage! Beyond this, there is an opportunity for successfulapprentices to secure a full time sales position, as well as achieving bonusesand pay rises connected to the apprenticeship programme.

Over the two years you’ll be learning how to :

  • Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents on to our system.
  • Provide operational support for the Sales Managers when required.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organise the movement of goods by providing exceptional customer service ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
  • Deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client and / or Sales Manager is updated
  • Process sales and purchase invoices of the branch
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions
  • Make sales calls, engage and onboard new customers
  • Analyse sales performance statistics and prepare / deliver customer review meetings

Your Skills and Experiences

  • The minimum entryrequirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A
  • Dincluding Maths & English)
  • Our company values candidateswho are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strongwork ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planningand organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitaskand be a self-starter.
  • Previous use ofMicrosoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
  • Please be aware that thisvacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and forapprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for atleast the last 3 years.
  • This is an entrylevel training position. If you are already qualified or experienced in thisarea of work, this is unlikely to be the position for you. However, we wouldwelcome your application for one of our other vacancies which can be found onour website.

    Working hours : Monday – Friday, 09 : 00 – 17 : 15
